University to run new campus store as it moves course materials online with Akademos

We are excited to announce that after a thorough, competitive search, Ferris State University has chosen Akademos as its technology partner to launch a new hybrid bookstore model. Using Akademos’ premier course content platform, Michigan-based Ferris, along with Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University, will move course material sales online while running an on-campus store for branded merchandise and apparel.

We are excited to share our newest partnership with Fontbonne University! The private university in Clayton, MO, committed to transforming education, selected Akademos’ premier course content platform to support their 1,200 students with innovative technology and better access to low-cost textbooks and popular merchandise. This partnership and summer 2021 launch of the new online store is the first step of many positive changes planned for the university in the coming months. 

We are excited to share our newest partnership with Eastern Mennonite University! The new online bookstore is set to launch to support the summer 2021 term. 

For twenty years, we have focused on reinventing the higher education bookstore model. From developing the first used book marketplace and accepting financial aid for all book types, to preparing schools for the transition to digital and integrating with OER based adaptive courseware, we have made it our mission to provide students with easy access to affordable course materials. 2020 has shown us that students require a state-of-the-art online bookstore and course materials platform. Technology is a necessity now more than ever.

We are thrilled to announce our newest partnership with Emory & Henry College, a private liberal arts institution in Emory, Va., the oldest institution of higher learning in Southwest Virginia, devoted to transforming lives and increasing excellence. E&H has selected Akademos as its partner to launch its new online bookstore and course materials platform. Beginning this spring, students will benefit from the convenience and substantial cost-savings of ordering and accessing course materials online.

Offering greater accessibility and significant savings for books and merchandise to the university community

Stritch has selected Akademos as its partner in developing an online store for merchandise and course materials. This partnership will give their students, alumni, and greater university community access to a vast selection of low-cost textbooks and Stritch-branded apparel and merchandise through a personalized online ordering platform. The new online store and course materials platform has launched to support the spring 2021 semester.
