CUNY CSI Introduces Online Bookstore to Enhance Student Experience
The College of Staten Island (CSI), a City University of New York (CUNY) institution joins a number of their fellow system schools to offer textbooks through an online bookstore platform with affordable options to students.
The four-year senior college of The City University of New York (CUNY) transitioned to an online bookstore through a partnership established with Akademos to support the Fall 2022 semester.
Dr. Timothy G. Lynch, Interim President at CSI said, “Our aspiration as a college is to create a rigorous education that will enhance the career advancements of students from diverse backgrounds - and removing barriers to affordability and access is a critical component of that work.”
The institution also places a high value on fostering a supportive community and will now be able to use the former bookstore space to do just that. In a post-pandemic world, providing new opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to create personal connections in a safe environment is immeasurable.
