SUNY Fredonia Prioritizing Student Success with Akademos Partnership

The State University of New York at Fredonia joins SUNY system schools SUNY Polytechnic and SUNY Clinton Community College as partners of Akademos. The four-year, public institution, located approximately an hour from the city of Buffalo is known for its world-renowned School of Music and over 100 liberal arts, natural and social sciences, education, mathematics, and business programs.

SUNY Fredonia’s FSA Executive Director, Darin Schulz, said, “When considering moving textbooks to the online platform, the most important factors for us were affordability, convenience, and accessibility for our students. The ability to streamline the adoption process with technology was also a driving factor for the change and we are glad to know that these priorities will all be met in the coming semesters.”

The on-campus store at Fredonia will continue to operate within the university commons and offer a wide variety of products and services, including gifts, art and school supplies, Fredonia merchandise, health and beauty care, residence hall room supplies, greeting cards, and more. Services available through the campus store include check cashing, package shipping, dorm package pick up, and special orders.
